Why did he even bother? The idea that each and every time Levi Ackerman had shit thrown at him he proceeded to get back up was astounding. When would it end?

He worked his ass off at his damnable job, dragging himself out of bed to get bitched at by his bosses for hours on end. And for what? Why did he work so hard for this? Levi thought that money might be the required adhesive to keep his crippling marriage together. He thought that if he forked in enough cash he might be able to keep Petra at his side.

But what happened?

He spent too much time on work and too little time on her, and it drove her even further away. Into the arms of another man, to be specific.

Levi knew he couldn’t blame her for seeking someone else’s company, but did she have to do it in their goddamn bed? Now he won’t be able to sleep there knowing that his soon to be ex-wife traipsed about with a stranger between the sheets.

He was so sick and tired of it all, and that was why he came here. To get away. To find a semblance of peace among the sea of chaos. The dark waters were surrounding him now, choking him and forcing him beneath the surface. If he didn’t find a way to resurface and recuperate he would surely drown.

Looking down at the glass of whiskey, he intently watched as the cubes of ice floated absently in the golden liquid. His mind was void of all thoughts. He had no idea what he was to think anymore, so he simply... didn’t.

The flashing lights of the night club riled up as a woman made her way onto the stage. Due to the fuss everyone had been making, Levi drew his attention from the glass and onto the approaching performer.

Who were you? He could’ve sworn he saw your face somewhere before, but he couldn’t rightly pinpoint where.

The intricate makeup you wore lit up underneath the ultra violet lights, the headphones with that damnable symbol he kept seeing everywhere. You were familiar, and clearly the others had heard of you too, considering they were practically crawling over each other to try and make their way to you behind the turntables.

The announcer had officially declared your name, which sent the crowd into an even greater excitement.

Ah.

He knew where he had seen you before. On television, posters, the internet, wherever. You were that famous DJ making the rounds as of late.

Levi was one for the classics, himself. He preferred music not made on a computer, but he couldn’t deny the way you manipulated the sounds and turned it into something more was damned impressive. You weren’t bad to look at, either.

He had planned to go home – or... away – after this last drink, but now that you were here, he supposed he could stay a little longer.

Hours passed, and Levi had still been seated at the bar, listening absentmindedly to the music you created with the push of a few buttons. Shit, whatever his opinion on music was before tonight, you had managed to completely change it. Working those tables with as much ease as you demonstrated was evidently a skill you had to hone. How was this different from any other music?

You sent a glance in his direction, and he immediately returned it. Your eyes remained locked for a solid minute before you had to break the contact to focus on your work once more.

Levi swore he felt something light up from that eye contact you shared. It got him thinking.

You were attractive, that much was for certain, and you were clearly not a part of the norm, considering your outlandish makeup and individual music taste. Your music alone had been enough to change his opinion on something he felt strongly on in a matter of hours – what else could something like that lead to?

After the endeavours of his burdened life, Levi craved something more. Maybe adventurous. Someone like you could satisfy that need. You were famous after all, weren’t you? That would mean tours.

He shook the thoughts from his head. You’d only looked at him once and yet he was already planning a future? How drunk and desperate was he?

The show eventually ended and the bar had closed for the night. Levi leaned against the matte black of his car, becoming consumed in an array of thoughts he had tried to brush off.

You stepped out of the establishment and pushed a cigarette past your teeth. You suddenly paused in your footsteps as you looked up to see the odd man from the bar. Levi had heard you coming and turned his head in your direction.

You didn’t say anything for a time. Didn’t know what to say.

Eventually you broke the ice and held a cigarette in his direction. “Want a smoke?” you offered.

He looked between your fingers and pondered for a moment. But only a moment. He took it soon after and put it between his lips. You took the liberty to light it for him.

Approaching him with such confidence he hadn’t seen before, you leaned close enough to him so that the ends of the cigarettes were just barely touching. You raised the lighter in your hand to the ends and lit it.

Your eyes met briefly before you pulled away and took a long drag on the smoke. You blew it out from your mouth and leaned beside him on the car.

“So...” you began. “Rough night?”

“Is it that obvious?”

“I’ve performed in plenty of clubs. There’s always that one person sulking at the bar with a drink in his hand.”

“And you offer them all cigarettes, I take it?”

You laughed lightly. “Not all of them, no.” You sent a sultry look in his direction. “Just... the attractive ones.”

Levi took the cigarette from his mouth and exhaled. He was intrigued in what you had been implying.

“Oh? Should I consider myself lucky?”

“That depends on how interested in me you are.”

Levi shifted his position. “Tch. Nicely non-specific.”

Your lips pulled up into a smirk that had instantly caused Levi to grow irritated. How could one person be so damned attractive? What manner of creature were you that he had already wanted to get you in bed?

He’d had one-night-stands before, no doubt, but this quickly? And with celebrities? That was unheard of. Though it could be a chance for a bit of fun, and fuck knows with what he’s been through lately he could sorely need it.

“Y’know...” Oh shit. What were you doing with your voice? Your tone had suddenly changed, and Levi could feel his arousal growing from it. “I don’t think I ever got your name.”

Levi bit the inside of his cheek as if it would stop him from pouncing on you. “Levi. And I already know who you are, [First]. Greatest musician of our generation, is it?”

Your generation?”

“Fuck no. You’re too young to be in my generation, how old are you, nineteen?”

“Good eye. Just turned twenty, actually. And you?”

“Thirty-five.”

“Aw.” You pushed your bottom lip out in a damnably enticing pout. “I suppose you’re too old for casual sex, then. Wouldn’t want you to throw out your back, old man.”

He clicked his tongue in annoyance. Were you trying to compete with him? “You think you know better than I do? While I was dominating in the bedroom, the doctor was dragging your sorry ass outside of your mother’s womb.”

“Dominating? I can be pretty dominant, myself. Well, take it as a challenge then. I mean, if you’re not up for it...”

“Not up for it? You fucking kidding me? My wife cheated on me then left, my boss is breaking my balls and I’ve been stuck in this shitty bar all night – of course I’m fucking up for it.”

You discarded your cigarette to the pavement. “Aww, poor baby. Don’t worry, Levi. I can take good care of you – but first I’ll have to see just how much you can handle.”

Without another word, Levi tossed his own cigarette away and swiftly pinned you to the car. Before you could crack another smart-ass comment, he slammed his lips over yours. You tilted your head to the side and opened your mouth, allowing him access while your hands roamed the plains of his body.

For a thirty-five-year-old, you had to admit he had a damn nice figure.

Your fingers tugged on his midnight tresses as your free hand slithered down his side and gripped onto the flesh of his backside. In response he pressed himself further onto you and you could feel his growing length against your thigh.

No longer wanting to waste any more time, Levi pulled you back and swung the car door open. Catching the hint, you went inside and tugged him in with you.

Needless to say, your night had been so eventful that you formally invited him to join you as your “personal stress relief” on your European tour.

As well as every other tour and event after that.
