You sat on the grassy field beneath, your face turned ahead but your eyes not really looking at anything in particular. You felt the presence of a man beside you – the same man you had given your heart to.
Levi – it was a beautiful name. You loved how it sounded, whether it rolled off your tongue or his. It was simple, not a tongue twister like many other names you’d heard, no. Levi was short and sweet – just like the man who the name belonged to, you assumed.
You smiled a little to yourself. Knowing he was there made you feel safe, even a little flustered. But there had been something you always wanted to know about him – something you’d never figured out, something that had been hounding your mind for years.
He spoke up; breaking the silent air between you two. His voice filled your ears. “Hey, [First], are you feeling okay? You’re looking a little flushed.”
Your smile grew wider. You loved how protective he was of you. He was always so concerned for your health. Even though you’d gotten over your cold a few days ago, he’d still ask if you were feeling ill or not. He was a better person than he took himself for.
“Yeah, I’m fine. I’m just… happy.”
“Oh?”
“It feels like it’s been a long time since we’ve done something like this. You’re always off fighting Titans. I get scared for you, y’know?”
You felt the back of his knuckle gingerly run down your cheek. He clicked his tongue at how hot your face felt against him. “Don’t get scared, dumbass. I’ll always come back,” he reassured.
“I know.”
Levi watched contentedly as your [H/C] hair fell from your shoulders. You looked so peaceful, seeing you like this would always put him at ease as well. Just from looking at you, you’d never be able to tell there were problems with the world at all. He was thankful that someone like you existed.
You fell into another silence, but neither of you minded. Levi never really had much to say to someone outside of the Legion, and you weren’t one to speak often either.
But eventually, you decided to ask him something you’d been afraid to do for some time now. You bit down on your lower lip before opening your mouth to talk, “Um… Levi…”
“Hm? What is it?” he asked as he pushed a stray lock of hair behind your ear.
“I was wondering… If… Can I touch your face? I want to see what you look like.”
For the first time that day, you looked in his direction. He gazed at your milky white irises. Even though you were blind, he couldn’t help but feel relieved for it. It made him feel terrible for thinking such thoughts, but he was glad that you’d never have to see the terror of the Titans that plagued the world you lived in.
You turned away from him, your heart feeling heavy as a wave of sadness and humiliation washed over you. “I’m sorry, it’s weird, I shouldn’t have asked--”
“Go ahead.”
“Huh?”
“Come here, I’ll let you see me.”
His hand found its way to yours as he gently guided you closer to him. Once your fingers touched his skin you recoiled a little. You cleared your throat and balanced yourself before bringing your other hand to his face. He closed his eyes and inhaled deeply as he allowed you to roam your hands over his skin.
Your fingers trailed over his face as you tried to piece together what your hands were seeing. His nose had a gentle slope and a narrow width, his eyebrows were thin and rigid, his eyes felt… weighted, somehow. Like he was constantly tired. It was understandable; you knew he had difficulties sleeping. You traced your touch to his jaw and chin, and felt a little awe-struck at how symmetrical and perfect his face shape had been.
Your hands went to his hair. It was soft, well-kept, it suited him. You’d ask what colour it was, but you stopped yourself when you suddenly remembered you lived in a colourless world. You seemed to forget that often.
A smile made its way to your face as his image filled your mind. “You’re beautiful.”
“Mmh, ‘beautiful’ isn’t exactly manly…” he mumbled in response.
“Handsome, then? Ruggedly good-looking? A total hunk. You’re on fire. Hotter than the sun.”
He let out the faintest of chuckles as he opened his eyes to look upon you once more. Sometimes he couldn’t believe that out of all people, you had chosen to be with him. He wasn’t very romantic or confident when it came to romance in general, and he was more likely to tell you a shitty joke than sweet-talk you.
Truthfully, he was just a giant fucking dork when it came to love.
But despite all of that, for some odd reason, you still stayed with him.
And he felt that he could get through all of the monstrosities of the world if it meant you’d be waiting for him at home, wearing that same smile you wore every other day. Because you were his motivation to continue to brave through it all. The day you walked the earth outside would be the day he felled the last damned Titan that might stand in your way.

Smile [Levi x Reader] Part 33
"Is that you horse?"
Jean cocked his eyebrow at the little filly before him. Oroka was her usual happy playful self, romping around in the dirt while racing up to the other horses in attempts to get them to play.
"Yeah, she's a real handful" you sighed while shaking your head "But she's fast and has incredible stamina which is extremely helpful in battle.
"She's really pretty," Armin added as he observed her orange colored coat. "What's her name?"
"Uh," you pause awkwardly "It's Oroka,"
Armin's eyes widen in surprise, while Jean let out a high pitched laugh "You named your horse 'stupid'?"
"Levi did!" you argue "But she seems to like th

"This one looks quite nice. How much for it?" A young woman questioned, her dainty fingers reaching down into the depths of her purse, and bringing forth a nicely stitched together wallet. You walked around the counter towards her, and inspected the colorful canvas she was speaking about. Swirls of apricot colored paint contrasted the cooler color palette of the rest of the piece - it was one of your favorites. The sun reflecting on a nearby pond at nighttime. You had never expected anyone to want it, however, since it was one of your first paintings. Because of that you didn't have a set price.
"Uh, I'll take practically anything for it." Y

You cut a large slice of the giant chocolate cake. Saliva waters in your mouth and you cannot wait to have a bite of the custom-made sweet. Trying your best to make the slice perfect, you move the knife back and forth against the chestnut flesh.
Finally, after what seemed like an eternity later, the piece of the cake has been removed from the rest and laid down on a plate. Sadness causes your heart to crumble when a few of the decorative chocolate rocks fall off the top of your portion.
Sighing, you take a seat on the couch. Lifting your fork, you scoop a
